FINAL DETAILS…

 

It’s hard to believe the recital is right around the corner- this year has gone by so quickly!  This email is specific to the recital; please don’t hesitate to call or email if you have further questions.

Thank you for letting us share our love of dance with your child this year!

RECITAL 

 Saturday, June 6th at

 Rock Canyon High School

5810 McArthur Ranch Road

Highlands Ranch, 80130

 

Because of time restrictions with the school we will start the shows promptly at each performance time.

 

 

ARRIVAL

All dancers need to be at the school ½ hour before their performance time.  They should come dressed in their costume with their hair & make-up done.  To avoid lost & found, please bring them with as little as possible.  They really don’t need anything unless if they’re in multiple dances, in which case please pack everything they need in a bag and label all items.

Rock Canyon High School does not allow food or drinks (other than water) in the dressing rooms or in the auditorium.  We want to be respectful of their policy, so please do not send snacks for your child to eat backstage (there’s a drinking fountain in the backstage area)

When you arrive there will be a check-in table.  To avoid long lines, please have only one parent in line with each child. From there we will take your child to the backstage area and you are free to find your seats in the auditorium.

  

DISMISSAL

We are estimating that each show will last a little over an hour.  Dancers will not be allowed to leave the backstage area after they have performed their dance; they will need to stay for the entire show.  Once the show is over, dancers will be dismissed from the stage one class at a time after having final bows.

 

PICTURES

We are happy to announce that this year’s pictures will be taken by NAV Media Productions. They will be set up in one of the rooms backstage on June 6th.  Both individual and group pictures will be taken during the course of each performance.

If you have more than one child enrolled and would like to have a picture of your children together, we anticipate that there will be plenty of time after each show to have those taken.

You will receive an email from NAV Media Productions with a username and password once the photos have been posted online.

 

VIDEOS

We have asked Ninja Boy Productions to video our recital again this year.  The reason we like to have the show professionally recorded is to relieve you from the worry and hassle of recording.  We want you to be able to relax and enjoy the performance.  Buying a video also gives your dancer a chance to see the other dances since they don’t get to view the show from backstage.

Because Ninja Boy is coming out, they have requested that personal camcorders not be used. They do a great job and record the show in a split screen; one camera is constantly focused on the whole stage and the other zooms in for close ups. This way you don’t miss a single moment of your child’s performance!

 

The cost for one dvd is $25. Because the shows aren’t very long, they have so kindly offered to combine 2 shows on one disc.

 

There are order forms available in the lobby and they will also be available at the show.  Please make checks payable to Ninja Boy Productions.

 

You are welcome to take snap shot photography, however please make sure the flash is turned off.

 

Feel free to encourage your dancers as they’re performing!  The energy from the audience transfers directly onto the stage.  The kids absolutely LOVE applause and cheer!!!  They have worked so hard all year for this one little moment!

 

REMINDERS…
* attendance is very important; it’s difficult to practice a group dance without the whole group 🙂

 

* tickets are on sale; they can purchased online until June 5th at 5:00 (they will also be available at the door)

 

* dvd order forms are available in the lobby and will also be available at the show

* save 20% on tights at Assemble` Dancewear now through June 5

* last day of class is June 4 (Thursday)

* registration is open for summer classes. The deadline to register for the Nutcracker is June 13th
