Recital Details…

How can it be May already?! I feel like we just started this season and here we are at the end. Thank you for your dedication and being a part of Kids Dance this year!
This newsletter is specific to the recital; please don’t hesitate to call or email if you have further questions.

RECITAL:
Saturday, June 11th at:

**Because of time restrictions with the school we will start the shows promptly at each performance time**

ARRIVAL:

All dancers need to be at the school ½ hour before their performance time. It is really important for them to be there early so they can get checked-in, find their teacher and classmates, see the stage, and start pictures. We will be on a very tight schedule that day and a smooth recital always starts with dancers arriving on time!

When you arrive there will be a check-in table (to avoid long lines, please have only one parent in line with each child). After your child is checked in they will be escorted to the backstage area. From there you are free to go into the auditorium and find your seats. Between all the teachers and backstage volunteers we have plenty of help; your kiddos are in great hands! (We have no hesitation finding parents and bringing them backstage if we need to!)

Students should arrive in their costume with their hair and make-up done. The less they bring with them backstage the better. They really don’t need anything unless they’re in multiple dances. If your dancer brings anything with them, please make sure everything is labeled.

Rock Canyon High School does not allow food or drinks (other than water) in the dressing rooms and auditorium. We want to be respectful of their policy, so please do not send snacks for your child to eat backstage. There is a drinking fountain that they are welcome to use.

PICTURES:

Group and individual pictures will be taken at the recital by NAV Media Productions. Once they’re posted online you will receive an email from NAV Media with a username and password. You will then be able to view the pictures and place your order.

DISMISSAL:

The estimated length of each show is about 1 ½ hours. Dancers will not be allowed to leave the backstage area after they have performed their dance; they will need to stay for the entire show and will be dismissed from the stage after having final bows with their class.

VIDEOS:

Ninja Boy Productions will be videotaping our Disney recital. The reason we like to have the show professionally recorded is to relieve you from the worry and hassle of recording. We want you to be able to relax and enjoy the performance. Because they are coming out, we kindly request that personal recording devices not be used. The cost for one dvd is $25, and any additional is $20. There are order forms available in the lobby and they will also be available at the show. Cash or check is accepted. If you’re writing a check, please make it payable to Ninja Boy Productions. You are more than welcome to take pictures- please just make sure the flash is turned off.
